Unleashing the Future Stars: A recap of the Super 9's hurling & camogie competitions

Here at Torpey we were delighted to get involved as a sponsor, in this years Super 9’s hurling and camogie competitions. The thrilling two days were organised by Gort Community School’s Future Leaders.

The Super 9’s hurling and camogie brought together some of the most promising U15 players in Ireland. Throughout the two days, these young athletes showcased exceptional skills and team spirit. The competition provided a platform for rising stars, to test themselves against terrific opponents.

Hilda Breslin, President of the Camogie Association and Larry McCarthy, President of GAA, were special guest each day. Their presence highlighted the importance of this youth competition. Their support and encouragement offered a tremendous boost to the young athletes.

The event was ran by the dedicated students of Gort Community School’s Future Leaders program. It was a pleasure to witness the student’s exceptional leadership skills and professionalism. The Super 9’s competition served as a testament to the importance of empowering young leaders for the future of our game.

In the thrilling camogie competition, Loreto Kilkenny emerged as deserving champions. Their incredible teamwork, skilful play and unwavering determination propelled them to victory. On day two, after an exhilarating game of hurling, St Kieran’s College Kilkenny emerged triumphant. Their display of technical finesse and tactical brilliance was a sight to behold.

In the thrilling competitions, some players and moments stood out above all others. These incredible performances were celebrates by Torpey Magic Moments. Congratulations to all these individuals who made a significant impact throughout the tournaments.

Supporting events like these, allows us to help the growth of grassroots sports at pitch level. Torpey’s involvement in this tournament holds great significance. We believe in giving back to the the very users who have made us who we are today.
