Manufacturing & Site Operative

TORPEY have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, adaptable individual to join our team as a Manufacturing & Site Operative, supporting both our production operations and internal site management.

What day-to-day Games you’ll be playing:

  • Work as part of a production team to complete monthly manufacturing orders to company deadlines.
  • Carry out detailed finishing of hurleys and other sports products to a high standard.
  • Operate and maintain specialist CNC machinery and finishing equipment safely.
  • Manage materials and stock as they pass through different stages of production.
  • Inspect products for defects and ensure high quality standards.
  • Assist with packaging and dispatch when required.
  • Participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
  • Carry out minor machine maintenance and report larger issues promptly.
  • Show initiative, flexibility, and a strong work ethic to support overall site efficiency.
  • Support site and facility operations, including:

Movement and handling of materials and finished goods across the factory.

Basic construction or maintenance tasks such as assembly of storage racks, fitting of light fixtures, or minor facility repairs.

General upkeep and organisation of work areas, waste and recycling zones, and outdoor storage areas.

Competency Requirements:

  • Strong hand–eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Prepared to work as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in woodworking, CNC operation, or general labouring desirable.
  • Full clean driving licence essential.
    Forklift licence or manual handling training (advantage but not required).
  • Leaving Certificate required; third-level qualification preferred but not essential.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to carry out manual tasks safely.

Location: Belvoir, Sixmilebridge, Co. Clare, Ireland.

Position Type: Full-time / Part-time

Salary: €28,000–€33,000 per annum (depending on experience)
