As StikStór Retail Manager, you will:
• Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of our retail pop-up events nationwide.
• Drive Torpey’s presence in key urban areas such as Dublin, Cork, and Belfast, while also supporting retail initiatives in other regions.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience with our premium ash and Bambú hurleys, apparel and accessories.
• Manage bookings for our pop-up retail service using the latest IT and retail POS systems.
• Recruit, train, and coordinate part-time staff to ensure top-quality customer service at events as needed.
• Be a brand ambassador who lives Torpey’s values and connects with customers to grow our online and in-person communities.

Key Tasks of the Role
• Lead and coordinate Torpey’s exclusive StikStór pop-up retail experience.
• Engage with customers both in-store and at events to provide an excellent shopping experience.
• Manage booking systems and coordinate club/event scheduling nationwide.
• Handle cash/card payments and manage POS technology at events.
• Recruit, train, and oversee part-time event staff.
• Ability to create and deliver social media content to drive awareness and engagement of pop-up events.
• Manage stock and liaise with the production team to ensure inventory availability.
• Handle customer service queries via email, phone, and social media in a timely manner.
• Support and grow bookings for schools, clubs, and tour visits to the Torpey Hurling Performance Centre.
• Help implement and adapt to the latest retail and merchandise management technologies.
• Maintain high standards of presentation and customer service across all Torpey retail experiences.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Comfortable using and learning new IT, retail POS systems and social media platforms.
• Ability to lead and motivate part-time staff.
• Positive, proactive, and customer-focused mindset.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours to deliver events.
• A passion for sport especially hurling/camogie and a drive to represent a leading Irish brand.

Development and KPI’s
Agreed KPI’s will be discussed and set prior to starting the role, forming the basis of performance reviews.
The successful candidate should have a growth mindset and be ready to develop their role as Torpey expands its wider retail offerings.

Location: Mobile role – based in Ireland with frequent travel and overnight stays
Position Type: Flexible - Part-Time or Full-Time considered
Work Schedule: Primarily evenings and weekends, some weekday travel as required
Salary: Negotiable, depending on passion and experience
